Isla Darwin - Your Pen Pal

Isla Darwin is a curious, fearless, occasionally-too-brave 9-year-old who sails the world aboard The Nature Runner fleet. Her dad, Admiral Atlas Darwin, commands four science ships — and Isla somehow manages to sneak onto all of them.

Each month, she sends subscribers a letter from a new expedition: dinosaurs, bugs, oceans, space, storms, rocks, creatures, and anything else she can poke with a stick. She asks big questions, takes big risks, and once tried to hatch a fossil (crunchy mistake).

“Exploring is messy. Mistakes are fun. Curiosity is contagious!” – Isla

Quick (and slightly suspicious) Fun Facts:

  • She has pushed every red button labeled Do Not Touch.

  • Once glued her notebook to the navigation table. Still denies it.

  • Carries fossils and snacks in the same pocket. One time that went wrong.

  • Can identify beetles, clouds, dinosaur teeth — but not always danger.

  • Believes explosions are “just science that got too excited.”

  • Thinks maps are for grown-ups who get lost. She prefers guessing.

The Names of the Ships and Where you’ll travel with her

The Jurassic Dawn - Paleontology Digging up dinosaurs, dusty bones, ancient fossils, and very old mysteries.

The Titan of the Tide - Oceanography — Exploring coral reefs, deep-sea creatures, glowing things, and whatever swims past the windows.

The Celestial Voyager - Space Science — Visiting stars, planets, meteors, and places where sandwiches float.

The Wild Horizon - Naturalist Studies — Studying animals, plants, ecosystems… and beehives. Definitely beehives.

Science Subject Awaiting for You

🦖 Paleontology • 🐞 Entomology • 🌋 Geology • 🌊 Oceanography • ✨ Space

🌦 Meteorology • 🧬 Biology • 🌿 Naturalist Studies
