Workshops & Residencies

Story / Script Writing, Podcasting, Animation & Video Projects

We bring everything needed! No worries for you.

In addition to our school assembly shows, The Story Ship offers four projects or residences for teacher's professional development and students. Each project is broken down into a series of workshops. The workshops are perfect for Arts Integration Teacher Training.

In fact, we recommend that teachers participate in training during students residencies so they can continue to offer the finished projects (Podcast, Animations, and Storytelling Apps) to their students for years to come. The project tracks offered are:

Podcasting For Schools (ELA, Math, Science, Social Studies STEAM)

Story Or Script Writing (ELA)

Animated Music Video (ELA, Music, Art, Math, Technology)

Time Travel Animated Video (ELA, Social Studies, Technology)

Story Book App (ELA, Technology)

Workshop Residency Structure

The projects are broken into workshops. This allows your school to focus funds on their specific needs. You can select a path directed at either teacher training, artist student interaction or a combination. You can also skip workshops in areas where teachers are already proficient and target areas that best suit your school's needs.

Duration

Each workshop is flexible in time ranging from 45 to 50 minutes long to accommodate the school's scheduling needs.

Virtual & In Person

Most workshops and residencies are offered virtually and in person.

Pricing

All workshops are $350 per session with a four workshop minimum per day.

(Add $125 per night for hotel and mileage at .60 per mile for in person residences.)

Save by booking weeklong residencies for $3,000 for 5 days with 5 class sessions per day in person. Call for more information.

Tech Requirements

You don't need a thing! Just give us the kids and  a room. We do the rest. We bring everything needed including camera, lights, green screens, computers, software, iPads and apps. This is so schools can try out new technology without having to purchase anything. We will also leave you with recommendations of what to buy should your school want to purchase equipment or software.
